Last Day of Vacation

All good things must come to an end, even vacation. Unfortunately there's never an easy end to ours, as The Hubs has to get his toy boat out of the water and load it up on the trailer. It's a two person job, so Darling Daughter and The Hubs are busy for about an hour with the process. (Even tiny sailboats are a LOT of work!)
In the meantime, I get to wander around and take photos.

Here's where The Hubs puts the toy boat in and out ...

Here's the ferry arriving from Martha's Vineyard

While I was taking pictures of the ferry, I noticed this and I had to smile...

Meanwhile, under the nearby tree...

They were very tame and friendly!

The Hubs truck, loaded with the kayaks...

Still have to put the mast down but we're almost ready to go...

And before too long, this was in our rear view mirror as we were crossing the Bourne bridge headed for home...

I hate those final moments of vacation - where you have to re-enter the real world and realize that all you've been looking forward to for months is now over!

That's the bad part of vacation. The end. Now it will take you days to get back into the routine. I used to wonder why I even took one, it was always sooo hard for me to get back into the groove. Loved all those photos. We are going to have to make a trip up there in warm weather.
